ZAYER is National Innovation Award 2026

Since last Thursday, March 5th, 2026, ZAYER is a National Innovation Award winner thanks to the TEBAS G. The ceremony took place during the Machine-Tool Biennial at Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC), where the 16th BIEMH Award for Innovation in Advanced Manufacturing was presented.

The long awaited award was co-organized by AFM Cluster and BEC, with the support of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. The awards ceremony was hosted by comedian Óscar Terol, and was attended by the president of AFM Cluster, José Pérez Berdud, the managing director of AFM Cluster, Xabier Ortueta, the managing director of BEC, Xabier Basañez, and the director of BIEMH, Mª Carmen Gorostiza.

Of course, the jury was made up of a lot of companies and institutions, like: Beaz, Bic Gipuzkoa, CDTI, Eide, Ergogroup, Ihobe, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Osalan, Spri, Tecnun-University of Navarra and the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).

Finally they took into account technological and innovation criteria, as well as sustainability and safety, and also design and communication when deciding the awards.

And the winner is… ¡TEBAS G!

This award for innovation in machine tools, components, accessories and tools was granted ex aequo to ZAYER, together with Ibarmia. To conclude, ZAYER is a National Innovation Award winner thanks to the “TEBAS G2000 bridge-type multifunction machining centre”.

The jury highlighted the robust and multifunctional solution with an exquisite design.

Furthermore, in addition to receiving industry recognition by obtaining this award, the machine made an impact at the trade fair.

Undoubtedly, it attracted all the attention! Its stairways, the high visibility of the operations it was carrying out, and its placement along the route led many people to go up and wath it.

All in all, it drew the attention of all the visitors who came by throughout the week.
